Telix is a telecommunications program originally written for DOS by Colin Sampaleanu and released in 1986. All the information we find is going to be documented on a site for the product and I'm also making "quickstart" disks with selected software available on physical media for purchase to help users who don't already have a way to get new software on their retrobattlestations.Wikipedia (0.00 / 0 votes) Rate this definition: If anyone has any recommendations for that, I would love to know.

I know the hardware is similar between the Tandy 1000 and the PCjr, so it may have the same issues with all the comms programs I have found (specifically I/O errors while it's trying to read from the disk and talk to the modem in rapid succession, especially during the loading process of the comm program itself). I also don't have access to a Tandy 1000 to test with, and I haven't been able to find a "reasonable" specimen to purchase. ZMODEM support would be really nice, but isn't a deal breaker. Ideally whatever we find should support at a minimum XMODEM, ANSI emulation, VT100 emulation, and speeds up to 4800bps. We tried jeTELE, but it doesn't like the responses from the GuruModem during INIT and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the INIT string. I know most PCjr users don't have this hardware option so I'm looking for alternatives. We're currently using TurboTerm (which can be found in the QModem archives of the qodem project), and while it works on his machine it only works if we copy it to the RAcore RAMdisk unit he has installed.

On of the developers has a PCjr, and finding a terminal program that works with the PCjr has been difficult. The GuruModem is a WiFi based modem like many before it, but the GuruModem also has a built in shell and MicroSD card for local storage making it easier to transfer files between machines. Greetings! I'm helping out with the development of the GuruModem from and we're trying to track down a good modem program/terminal emulator for some older machines.
